BACKGROUND
Family medicine residency program is committed to the training and education of excellent family physicians, capable of practicing full spectrum family medicine. We accomplish this by carefully incorporating clinical activity, education, and scholarly activity within our curriculum.
We believe in self-directed learning beside the resident role in patient education and each other as a continuum of health care provision .We believe in educating our residents as adult learners. It is therefore
incumbent on residents to do self-evaluation to assess their goals, needs and progress. With the help of their faculty mentors, residents learn to set learning objectives based on these goals, decide what skills and
knowledge are needed to achieve them, and learn how to seek out knowledge as part of their medical education process.
